Although we didn’t go to the orphanage today, we enjoyed going to the beach (things people in New Jersey can’t do right now!) and touring Diego Columbus’s mansion. 
This morning, we woke up around 9 am and took a bus to the Bocana Beach today, and let me tell you that this was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. This beach had soft sand, with water to the point where you could see your feet even if you had the water up to your neck! I also bought a few things from  the vendors walking around, and i could say that they would be the best salesmen in America (if they actually tried to sell things in America). These vendors knew how to make money, and knew it well. I bought a pearl necklace for my mom and a few things for my friends. I also got somethings for myself to go along with that. 
Later on, we made our way to Diego Columbus’s castle (Christopher Columbus’s son; I didn’t know he had one!). It was pretty cool to see that he had two bedrooms, one for his wife and one for himself (which is awkward to hear because usually they would sleep in the same room at least!), and had a room dedicated to breakfast, another for lunch, and another for dinner. I wish I could do that. Then, after seeing the castle and walking around the tourist parts of Santo Domingo, we paid for our hotel rooms, and are just about to start dinner and packing for our flight back home at 2 am.
